Technical Application Guide |
Universeal Rain-Off is a water-based, technical silicone silane resin emulsion. Rain-Off serves as a high-quality, general-purpose treatment to impart excellent water repellency and stain resistance to many external concrete, natural stone and masonry surfaces and is suitable for both residential and commercial façades and renders.
The unique formula of Universeal Rain-Off significantly reduces the capillary water absorption of the building or treated surface, but doesn’t clog the pores or capillaries. Therefore significantly reducing efflorescence/salts blooming, organic soiling and moss and algae growth, whilst allowing the surface material the ability to “breathe” and transfer moisture vapour.
Always try the product in an inconspicuous area prior to use.

Please note that sealing your paving or tiled surfaces does not guarantee complete stain prevention. However, when applied correctly, a quality sealer will significantly enhance your surface’s appearance and durability, making regular cleaning and maintenance much easier.

Product shelf life is 12 months from production date (shown on cap) when unopened and stored at room temperature. After opening, use within 3 months.

Our chemicals have the potential to damage sensitive surfaces if left unattended and we do not recommend that you store them indoors unless specifically indicated.

Is this sealer breathable?
Yes, using our nano-coating technology this sealant will create a durable barrier, whilst allowing full vapour transmission. So the end result is a protective coating that is 100% breathable.
Can this be used on flooring as well as walls?
Yes, Rain-Off will work equally well on both walls and floor surfaces. It is ideally suited for garden brickwork that often features horizontal and vertical surfaces.
How long does it take to dry / cure?
With optimal weather conditions, it should dry within 45-60 minutes. Times will be longer if it is cooler and if there is moisture in the air. Try to apply the sealer when warm, mild and dry weather is forecast for best results.
