COLOUR BOOSTING SEALER FOR NATURAL STONE FLOORING & RESTORING BLACK LIMESTONE

Universeal Enhance & Restore is a powerful impregnating sealer which dramatically enhances the hue and colour of natural stone. Use this to revive faded black limestone.

Universeal Enhance & Restore is a solvent based colour boosting impregnator that penetrates into the surface of the stone to protect from staining and soiling whilst giving a vibrant, bold look. Ideal for restoring black limestone that has faded to grey and can also be applied to slate, natural quarry tiles, sandstone & common types of limestone surfaces. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE ON NON-POROUS, GLAZED SURFACES.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

1. Always perform a test in an inconspicuous area on-site to check suitability of product, prior to use – read these instructions fully before application. Before application, the surface must be completely clean and dry.
2. Apply a thin, even coat with a low pressure sprayer, paint pad, natural fibre brush or sponge. Any excess sealer must be completely removed from the surface within 20-30 minutes. Note: If applying via sprayer, make sure to distribute evenly with sponge or soft brush, removing any excess that hasn’t penetrated within 15-20 minutes.
3. Apply a second coat after 45-60 minutes, making sure to apply thinly and remove any excess. The end result will be a full matt, non-shine finish.
4. After application it is important the stone surface is kept totally dry through the curing process (up to 72 hrs). Any moisture or water left on the surface within this time may result in the sealer drying inconsistently, leading to hard to remove white patches.

Please Note:

Application range: 5°c – 20°c. Areas not to be sealed must be protected with masking materials. Results may vary when applying Enhance & Restore, depending on the colour, texture and condition of your natural stone. As a rule, it does not provide radical colourising transformational effects when applied to lighter stones, and in particular it cannot enhance common light and grey sandstones such as Kandla Grey. The sealer will always deliver more noticeable results on darker or colour rich stones, so if you are unsure, we would recommend you complete a test first to see how the finish works on your patio area.

Expected Wear

Under typical conditions the effect of the impregnation can be considered to have an effect for up to 5 years. Effectiveness and longevity is reliant on initial thorough application, foot traffic and the use of correct maintenance cleaning products.

Stain Protection

Please note that sealing your paving or tiled surfaces does not guarantee complete stain prevention. However, when applied correctly, a quality sealer will significantly enhance your surface’s appearance and durability, making regular cleaning and maintenance much easier.
